Excellent MedTech initiates Series A+ to scale global manufacturing

Excellent MedTech has initiated a Series A+ financing round to fund the next phase of growth: a 5,000 m² GMP manufacturing centre in Shenzhen, expansion of the international regulatory team, and scale-up of the European commercial organisation. The round is led by strategic investors with deep medical device expertise.
"We have validated the technology, validated the clinical evidence, validated the manufacturing maturity, and validated the regulatory pathway in China," said David Zhao, Founder & CEO. "Series A+ enables us to scale globally, on our own terms, with the right partners."
The company is targeting 2026 revenue of RMB 50 million, growing to RMB 600 million by 2030, with global expansion as the primary growth driver. The 5,000 m² Phase II manufacturing centre is scheduled to break ground in 2026, with full operation by 2028.

Large-cohort prospective study confirms < 2% total complication rate

Excellent MedTech today announced the publication of a large-cohort prospective clinical study validating the long-term safety of the Additive Manufacturing Patient-Matched Skull Reconstruction System. Across 5,000+ delivered implants, the total complication rate remained consistently below 2% — compared to 12–18% reported in literature for conventional titanium mesh and PEEK plates.

CE-MDR Class III conformity assessment initiated

Excellent MedTech has initiated the CE-MDR Class III conformity assessment for the Additive Manufacturing Patient-Matched Skull Reconstruction System. Engagement is underway with leading Notified Bodies including TÜV SÜD and DEKRA. The clinical evidence dossier has been submitted, and the company is on track to achieve CE marking in line with the EU MDR transition timeline.
The company is concurrently pursuing FDA 510(k) (United States), UKCA (United Kingdom), TGA (Australia), ANVISA (Brazil), Health Canada MDL, and PMDA (Japan) pathways, with the MDSAP audit programme in scoping.
KOL network activated at EANS, AOCMF, EuroCMF
